The Garena's Garena first league (GPL) was launched in the month of May. It's a professional online game that spans 6 months and features over 100 games. The GPL's first season includes six teams of professionally-trained League of Legends players. The teams are made up of the best players in their respective nations. GPL matches and commentaries are broadcasted online. The public can view them via the GPL website. In the month of January, Garena declared it would begin the Garena Premier League's second season will begin on the 4th of January, 2013. Garena Premier League, 2013 will have two teams made up of Taiwan & Vietnam. The number of eight teams will be up to nine. The teams are: AHQ (Asia), Saigon Fantastic Five (Saigon Jokers), Bangkok Titans (Bangkok) Kuala Lumpur Hunters(Kuala Lumpur) and Manila Eagles(Manila), Taipei Assassinsand Singapore Sentinels. The Garena E-Sports Arena an esports venue has been opened since November 2014 at the Neihu District of Taipei. The stadium was initially constructed to house an event called the League of Legends Masters Series, the world's top LoL Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau league that was a spin-off of GPL. In January 2015, Garena launched Iron Solari League an all-women's League of Legends tournament in the Philippines. The event is bi-monthly which takes place during the second halves of each month. The purpose of the event is to promote participation among minorities, and is open to anyone who self-identifies as a woman. Garena hosts offline events for members who wish to connect and meet. Garena also organizes the Garena carnival which takes place every year in Singapore as well as Malaysia. Gerina Gerina Gerina
