Anamaria Martinca is an actress from Romania. She received an award called the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress in the Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. French, German English fluently. Her mother played the violin and her father is a professor of theater at one of the best Romanian drama schools. Alongside her impressive performance in her first film the actress is also famous for her role in the Romanian art film 4 Months 3 weeks and 2 Days which won her numerous awards, such as an award from the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. In 2007, she was a part of in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si 2 days (4 months, 3 weeks and 2 Days) directed by Cristian Mungiu. The film was awarded the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two other prizes (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI award). Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola was a different film where she starred. She played Yasim Awar in BBC's 5-episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca has appeared on her own Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven. She later as Irma's German grandmother in Fury the film, which came out in the year 2014.
